KNOCK DOWN  KARATE

 

KNOCK DOWN KARATE

(1)  Time of Match

The time of the match is 3 Rounds. The every round is 2 Minutes. The interval between each round is 1 minute.

(2) Judging

 The refereeing is carried out by Four Judges scoring.

(3) Safety Equipment

Mouth pieces and a protection cup must always be worn.  , shin-guards, and headgear must also be worn. Feet must be bare. The Fighter has to be a suitable Uniform (Kickboxing & Thai Boxing short). The use of Vaseline, oil, or similar substances on the body, face, or hair is forbidden.  The WKU representative has to approve the Safety Equipments.

Note: the Fighter fight bare Hands.

(4) Coaches

The competitors are allowed to have three persons in their corner and only one chief corner man can enter the ring before the match. If corner man enter the ring or touch competitors or the ring during the fight, his competitor shall be judged the loser. The Coaches responsible to have all fighters' equipments during resting Time. If the coaches or fighters  fan  shouted the Referee will punished the fighters with one penalty.  

(5)Weight Category

Weight classes men amateurs

(-59 kg) (-63 kg) (-67 kg) (-71 kg) (-75 kg) (-79 kg)

(-83 kg) (-87 kg) (-95 kg) (+95 kg)

Weight classes women amateurs

(-50 kg) (-54 kg) (-58 kg) (-62kg) (-66 kg) (-70 kg) (+70 kg)

 (6)  Ring Or Tatami

A standard Kickboxing Ring or Tatami

 shall be used.

(7)  Gloves

The Knock Down Fighters Fight Bare hands , children can use Finger 8 onze Golves

 (8) Bandage

Bandage may be used only for the purpose of protection of knuckle part and the WKU representative has to approve the Bandage.

(9) The determination of Winner

 The determination of the winner of any match shall be made according to the following.

A . Technical Knockout (TKO): (I) The referee can stop the fight for a competitor's loss of will to continue the fight, or (II) it may be stopped by a competitors corner by ' throwing in the towel '. 

B. Disqualification: When competitors hit a foul, they shall receive a caution. If the competitor receives cautions 3  times or the foul is too severe, the competitor shall be immediately disqualified. 

C. Decision: When all rounds are over, the four judges decide the winner and who has got enough points for the medallion.


Striking points shall be judged by four  judges as follows.

·        10- 10 no difference  

·        10-9 a little difference (more clean effective hits than opponent)

·        10- 8 difference (pressing the action constantly)

·        10- 7 clear difference (dominating almost without getting hit)

·        10-6 overwhelming difference (one guy is a punching bag)

Note:  

 - Any Throwing, Locking , Ground fighting is permitted during 10 minutes.

-         When the fight becomes deadlocked, the referee shall call "Break" and the competitors must separate each other, and continue the fight in the stand position.

-         When both competitors are about to fall out of the ring, the referee shall call "Don't move." In this case, both competitors must stop their motion, and the referee with two sub-referees shall move them to

 

10 - Fouls are as follows.

A. Illegal attacks:

1) Head-butting,

2) Elbow blows

 3)  Blows to the spine

4) Any hand strike to Face and head.

5) Any attacks to the fingers, Knee, Keck, and Back of Head.

6) Blows to the opponent in ground position. While one is on the ground.

Note: If both fighters are on the Ground the legal strike is permitted.

Note: If one fighter is on the ground and other is sitting over him or beside him any legal strike is permitted.

B. Illegal -mannered acts:

1) Biting or pressing with teeth,

2) Putting into Foot Fingers to the eyes,

3) Attacks and defences with using rope, corner mat, or similar substances,

4) Attacks to a knock downed opponent,

5) Pushing an opponent out of the ring

6) Disobeying the referee's instructions

7) Offensive language or insult to an opponent or a referee

8) Squeal or shout.

9) Not having presenting in the ring after announcing his or her name , the fighters has to presenting in The ring after announcing his or her name , if he or she delay the time more than 2 minutes , he will be punished.

10) Turning his back to opponent.

11) Looking to the ground and having no eyes to opponent.

Note:  The Rule of 8 Kick in every round has been notice. If fighter dose not 8 Kick in a Round, the referee or judges have be warn and award him 1 minus point.

C. Escape:

1) Deliberately leaving the ring

2) Throwing the mouth pieces out.

When a fighter committed a Foul at first the referee will punish him with 1 Point, if the second foul has been occurred the second minus point will be awarded and at third foul action the fighter will be Disqualify.
