Article 33 - at count
and count out of the fighter (Knockdown)
The at counting is a
protective measure for the fighter, it is not a censure.
The fighter is at counted like follows:
For a knockdown the
referee always counts till eight;
by lifting the hands the
fighter signals that he can fight again. The referee
decides according to the position and the seriousness of
the hit if he counts him out or lets him go on fighting.
If the fighter is not able to continue his fight, the
referee goes on counting till 9 and finishes on 10 the
course of the fight per K.O... During the *at counting
the time runs on.
The referee can at
count,
When
a participant is hanging
in the ropes,
When
the participant has
serious problems for an injury or a serious hit on the
head, when the participant is not able to defend himself
anymore,
When
the participant cannot keep his guard up and has to take
several hits, when the participant is reeling for
exhaustion without any guard,
When
a participant is hit by a foul and is not able to
continue the fight immediately,
When
a participant goes down for stumbling, slipping away and
doesn't return to the fight- position immediately,
When
a participant falls out of the ring and doesn't return
immediately,
When
a participant is outside the ring-ropes and is not
fight-ready again immediately, when a referee is of the
opinion that it is dangerous for the participant.
For a heavy K.O. an *at
counting is not necessary anymore; the head referee
finishes the fight at once by lifting the hands and
saying "out" while he is moving the crossed hands.
After that the ring
doctor is there immediately for an examination. He fixes
the suspension for protection of the fighter.
For a knockdown, where a
fighter goes down on the floor, the head referee has to
count till 8. If the fight position cannot be reached
again, he has to count on till 10 and then the fight has
to be finished by K.O.
(Attention!
In
the fight classes
D, C
The fight has to be
ended after the second Knockdown in one round or after
the third Knockdown in the total fight course. The fight
ends with a technical K.O...
After the second
knockdown the referee stops the time, calls the ring
doctor who then decides, if the fight is continued or
not. If the fight is not continued, it ends with
technical K.O...
In the fight class B
and pro A
The fight has to be
finished after the third knockdown in a round or after
the fourth knockdown in the total fight course. The
fight ends with a technical K.O...
After the third
knockdown the referee stops the time, calls the ring
doctor who then
Decides, if the fight is
continued or not. If the fight is not continued, it ends
with technical K.O...
Also after a technical
K.O. a control of the ring doctor is necessary. He
decides, depending on the cause, about the suspension.
Attention has to be
paid for that the suspensions are entered immediately
(delegate, 4th scoring judge).
The delegate helps the main referee to count the
knockdowns and to announce the break off for fulfilled
knockdowns
